Baby Moon’s Minimalistic Nursery

IMG_6276.jpg

We are almost 4 weeks away from Baby Moon’s due date and before he arrives I wanted to share his little nursery!

With minimal (and budget friendly!) furniture, we were able to create a shared guest room and nursery that allows guests to feel comfortable but also dedicating a room especially for Baby Moon. I’m really happy how it turned out as my vision was to have a simple and clean look for guests but adding in special touches for the baby :)

While searching for the crib was the hardest decision for my husband and I to agree on, we finally found this white crib with walnut legs from WayFair, and we both LOVE it. We hung these sweet, framed bunny water-color prints I found on Etsy and a soft white canopy to create a cozy space for his crib in the corner of the room. Now that the room is finished, I often find myself sitting in here admiring how sweet this little corner looks - it’s turned into my favorite spot in the apartment.

On the other wall we bought a simple white dresser from IKEA which provides plenty of storage for his clothes and will be used as a changing table too. I’m also super thankful to have a sister who is an interior designer, because she was a huge help in where, how and what to hang on the walls! Luckily for me she had a lot of items that I was able to use, like these beautiful eucalyptus prints and white frames that she wasn’t using which fits PERFECTLY in the space and the subtle “bunny theme” I was going for.

To add color in the room, we found these amazing velvet curtains called “Denmark Blue" - they are a pretty blue grey shade and the color name is beyond fitting since Baby Moon was conceived in Denmark ;)

baby bassinet

One more area in our apartment for the baby is this corner nook in our master. The bassinet is over 55 years old and a family heirloom from my mom’s side. It’s a very special piece since my mom, sister, myself and nephew have slept in it…and I’m so excited for Baby Moon to take sweet little naps in it too!
